How do I switch to STi Mobile?

 

1. STi Mobile will need to know information about your existing account. So please have a current bill on hand from your existing carrier, as you will need to supply us with:

  • Phone number
  • Account number and Social Security Number or Tax ID
  • Exact billing name and address
  • Account password (if applicable)

  2. Call STi Mobile at 1-800-784-6099 to determine if your number is eligible for switching
   
  3. Purchase a STi Mobile Phone and Recharge Card; if you want to switch your number to STi Mobile you will need to switch phones. That's because wireless carriers use different technologies, and wireless devices are typically designed to be used on only one carrier's network.
   
 

4. STi Mobile will take care of the transfer process from there. If the transfer will not be completed in the anticipated time, STi Mobile will contact you to give you an update.

What to Expect
 

Since number portability requires the simultaneous efforts of multiple companies, it may take time for your phone number to become active.

Activation times will vary, depending on the type of number portability. For instance, a wireless to wireless transfer may take only 2.5 hours and a landline to wireless transfer may take up to four days. However, both may take longer due to circumstances beyond STi Mobile's control.
